Advanced traditional
West African drum class, Waimanu St. (off Ward Ave.,
Honolulu) - seems like the class ends on December
24, 2009 because the owner lost the studio and we
didn't find another space. The drum teacher refuses
to teach in a park.

Outdoor clinic at Haleiwa Country
Market in downtown Haleiwa (on Kamehameha Hwy, by
the Haleiwa bypass, Haleiwa park). Walk-ins
welcome. Chair and sit-up shiatsu-style
massage over clothing. This is a great way to meet
Milica and get a shorter (and cheaper) treatment. A
nice try-out and "bandaid" opportunity.
This service will not be available for a long time,
it is just a promotional activity used for marketing
purposes.

Hakoryo
jujitsu. No, not the Brazilian cheap imitation
(that's not even jiujitsu, it is more like grappling
on the floor.). Hakoryo jiujitsu is a real Japanese
martial art. I haven't gone there in a while
because of work. It is getting to the point where I
will either have to look for another class and/or
quit the farmers market. There is a ninjitsu
class in Mililani and a real qi-gong master straight
from China in Kaneohe.

Have we already met at some past events?
Some of the expos I attended before are listed below. I do not do
expos anymore because they are too expensive and attract the
kind of practitioner that charges a lot and/or sells very
expensive products. A sample cost from 2 years ago: $365 plus
$10 for parking for renting the smallest fold-up table for 2 days.
Plus providing the signs, decoration, trucking all of it, not
working for 2 days, etc. Typically, expos are in Honolulu, and my
customers are on N. Shore. Plus, being stuck indoors in a big
noisy hall with artificial lights and with a big crowd is very
draining imo and definitely not conducive to healing.

Wellness Directory magazine. Look for this comprehensive, high
quality, full color free magazine all over Oahu - in health
food stores, major shopping malls, etc.. It comes out in
January and July and tends to disappear from the stands on N.
Shore within a month. Editor is Lori, 394-8438. It
is also on-line at Holistic-Hawaii.com.
